THE PEOPLES OF The LOST NATION Saga
ENTER: The OSENTA
The Osenta (meaning 'offspring' in their tongue), called also The Seven Nations, are a race of humans blessed by their Creator with the ability to control their environment. From advanced architecture to metallurgy to full transmutation of their physical makeup, there is little that this collection of diverse nations are incapable of doing.
The First Nation

Oft referred to as “the Stonemasons”, the Manuthians descend from Manuth the Architect and Voyas the Dancer . These two became the first builders of the Osenta, the two alone creating great stone works before any conventions of architecture were established. Manuth was the first Osentan to receive divine law from the Creator, which Manuth and his children wrote on massive stone walls (called the 'Walls of History'). As the inventors of architecture and stonemasonry, the Manuthians are well-versed in mathematics, their most notable contribution to the Amasteric script being the numerical system. Part of their skill with stone work comes with their natural power to manipulate the earth and mold it as they see fit. Manuthians are also able to detect sound and vibrations from distances far exceeding the senses of other Osenta.

The Second Nation

The Kartumites were the first Osenta to discover the curvature of Sahesh, Kartum the Navigator himself travelling the circumference of Sahesh in the early days. His skill in navigation and mapmaking by the seashore would earn him the title of 'the Navigator'. The Kartumites in-addition pioneered the fishing trade, bringing the activity out of mere curiosity and making fish a staple food for several Osentan cultures. Contributing to their remarkable ability as navigators and fishers, Nadoyahe gave to the Kartumites the control over water. In- tandem with this ability, Rehas (called ‘the Healer’), the wife of Kartum, discovered the power to heal grave wounds through a process of water transmutation.

The Third Nation
|
The namesake of both the man and his people, the Alduanians are also known as the Forgers. Indeed, these people began their history by making great works of metal, originally in hopes to add to the beautification concerning their grand works in the cities of the Osenta as was bidden by their foremother, Affilus the Poet. In later centuries, the children of Alduis and Affilus collaborated with the Orkhamites and other nations to invent advanced technology, likewise also becoming infamous for producing some of the greatest, grandiose battle-poets in the ancient histories.

The Fourth Nation
|
Sired by Orkham the Ultimate (originally called 'the Hunter'), and Holesh the Weaver (later called 'the Huntress'), the Orkhamites are a nation who pride themselves on valiance. These people are able to administer fire and lighting at their literal fingertips. Orkham was also the first major hunter amongst the Osenta (though not the first to take animals for food) and with that, one of the first to invent hunting tools. Residing in the colder areas of the world, the Orkhamites’ ability to wield fire has proven to be a boon, and the regularity of thunderstorms in ther fatherland has not hindered their efforts to make comfortable homes. In later aeons, the Orkhamites would go on to develop kinetic technology, ushering in an era of fully mechanized industry.

The Fifth Nation
|
Born from Arethios and Kappathum, the Far-seers, the Arethians are a reclusive sort, residing in the high mounts of the northernmost portions of the earth. “There is no greater chill than the bite of an Arethian’s words” Orkham said of this nation. This is true both figuratively and literally, as the Arethians reside in the coldest regions of Sahesh, and with that they were blessed with ice manipulation. During the first major conflicts and skirmishes , the Arethians on both sides waged devastating combat against their enemies, bringing blizzards with them into the most arid of environments. They are most well known for building observatories in the highest peaks of the earth, giving them the clearest view (aside from the Sixth Nation) of the stars.

The Sixth Nation
|
Known as the “Peoples of the Void” or the “Shadow-Makers”, the Etaiumites descend from Etaium the Writer and Malatas the Songstress. As their nicknames imply, the Etaiumites have perhaps the most unique ability; proficiency over and within the invisible. Everything from stealth, advanced hearing, manipulation of dark matter, and control over the wind itself. This places the Etaiumites amongst the most dangerous of the nations in terms of their raw bilities. The Etaiumites, as their history has shown, are the peoples of language, known for their excellent communication skills, songcraft and their ability to recite oral tradition without error. The Etaiumites were not the first people to record the written word, but they were the first to use ink and paper, thus the spreading of the written word is associated with their nation.

The Seventh Nation
|
The completion of the nations of the Osenta according to Nadoyahe’s design and a unique sort whose power is not over the external elements, but within their own physical makeup. Offspring of Hinahn the White Owl and Anokhaz the Black Eagle, the Hinokites are known by many as “form-shifters”, a reference to their gift of taking beast-like forms, though they prove to be as human as their six predecessors.
